Twenty-One DCPS Students Chosen for All-State Chorus

Twenty-One DCPS Students Chosen for All-State Chorus

 

Dorchester County has again achieved great success in the annual auditions for the Maryland All-State Chorus with 21 students winning places in the prestigious ensembles.

Deen Wright, Maximus Marshall, and Destin Green from Cambridge-South Dorchester High School will be performing in the Senior Chorus. Their choral teacher is Melissa Wise. Representing North Dorchester High School in the Senior Chorus are: Cahleigha Brown, Trinity Cephas, Jaime Fonseca, Aiden Hayward, Cartney Jarrell, Ian Ledger, Airrianna Lednum, Lilian McDonald, Karen Mejia, Dani Ott, Shae Reid, Miranda Smith, Eli Talley, and Rachel Widmaier. Joining the Junior Chorus from NDHS are Alexis Hayward and Cole Ledger. NDHS students are taught by choral teacher Sabra Steward. All-State Junior Chorus members also include North Dorchester Middle School students Ryan Widmaier and Luis Fonseca Gonzalez. Dre Tingle is their choral teacher.

The Junior Chorus will be performing at Towson University on February 23. The Senior Chorus’ concert is on March 15 at Morgan State University.
